You Donít Live on My Street Oral Interpretation Contest (Local Clarksville, TN Contest)
This contest is for the residents of Montgomery County, TN and the surrounding TN counties of Stewart, Houston, Dickson, Cheatham, Franklin, Davidon, Sumner, Robertson and the KY counties of Calloway,Christian, Todd and Trigg .

Record a video yourself reciting two poems (one poem by Rebera Foston, and another by any other author).

Fill out the form below and include a link to the video.

The winners will receive a $500 (five hundred) monetary gift and the Erma Downs Elliott Award for Excellence in Oral Interpretation.
The Second runner up will receive a $300 (three hundred) monetary gift and a second place Medallion.
The Third Runner up will receive a $100 (one hundred) monetary gift and a medallion for third place.
In the event of limited participation of less than 360 (combined entries) only the first place winners will receive a medallion and a monetary award. The other places will receive appropriate medallions.
If the participation is less than 200 (combined) the contest will be aborted and all monies will be refunded.

The Contest will begin on January 1, 2020 at 8 am CST and end on July 15, 2020 at 11:59 pm. CDST
Entries submitted after this contest period will not be accepted.
Eligibility of contestants
The Contestants must be in one of the four categories A) Adult B) College Students C) High School Students D) Middle school Students, and from one of the above mentioned counties.

All contestants must have a signed Media Release Form and if under 18
years of age a Parental Permission Form signed by the parent or legal
guardian must also be submitted.
Each contestant will perform two poems, one by Dr. Foston from her book, You Donít Live on My Street and one by another poet.
A Competition Folder containing five of Dr Fostonís poems will be made available as a free download from the website.
For additional poems that can be used in competition, Dr Fostonís work is available as an ebook. You Donít Live on My Street, which can be purchased as an eBook at www.fostoninstitue.com.
The combined total time allotted for these two recitations must be 5 (five) minutes or less. If the time limit is exceeded, the submission will be disqualified.
